Outdoor drive-thru parts and equipment can take a beating in cold, wet weather. With winter on the way, now is the time to prepare your drive-thru lane for inclement weather.
- Check the area around your in-ground vehicle detector loop for frayed wiring and any cracks or potholes that could allow rain, snow or mud to collect around it.
- Remove any debris on or around the drainage grills that keep rain and snowmelt from backing up in your drive-thru lane.
- Inspect the underground pipes for blockages.
- Check the condition of all outdoor drive-thru parts, such as microphones and speakers, and remove dirt and debris as needed.
- Examine your menuboard for loose wiring or cracks that could allow rain or snow to seep in, and repair if necessary.
Taking the time to winterize before harsh weather arrives will save time and money in the long run. In the meantime, if any of your indoor drive-thru parts need repair or replacement, you know where to send them – CE Repairs (877-731-0334). We’ll be here for you come rain, snow, sleet or sunshine.
