People often purchase something because of all the bells and whistles that come along with it. Once they have it though, it’s tedious and frustrating to set everything up so they don’t end up utilizing most of the features, which led them to purchase the product in the first place.

Starting with the ION|IQ and now with EOS | HD, HME has made it easier to take advantage of all the amenities included in your drive-thru system. With an easy to follow digital menu screen on the front of the base station, and a quick start guide included at the back of the operating manual, you are now able to set up your customer greetings, employee reminders, and alerts in three easy steps. To make it even less of a hassle, there are 12 pre-recorded reminder messages to help you get started.

Here are some tips to keep in mind when setting up your drive-thru system:

1.       Record three to four greetings that play out to your customers at different times of the day. This can include specials or menu items you are trying to push for your different dayparts.

2.       Add a couple of important reminders for your employees such as “please check dining room trash” or “please wash your hands.” This will allow them to focus on other tasks so they aren’t constantly trying to remember everything.

3.       Also include one or two alerts to notify your employee that the freezer or back doors have been left open.
