A Drive-Thru Repair Story Worth Repeating

March 11, 2013 ·

You know those people who tell the same story over and over again? They ask, "Have you heard this one?", and before you can even think, "Yes, a million times!" ... let alone say it .... they've launched into it again?

Well, here at the CE Drive-Thru Repair Blog we're not in the habit of telling stories, let alone repeating them. But this one ... about a fellow QSR, and a potentially major catastrophe for their drive-thru ... bears telling many times over. Why? Because it could save you money ... lots and lots of money.

Time For A Drive-Thru Headset Repair?

The problem started at the tail-end of the lunch rush. First, a crew member noticed the boom starting to come loose on her AIO drive-thru headset. It was more of an annoyance in the beginning, but as time went on it became apparent that this was one drive-thru repair that wasn't going to fix itself. And by the time the dinner rush came along, the loose boom was giving the crew member fits and slowing down the entire operation. The manager thought quickly and called CE's drive-thru repair technical support. The specialist on the other end of the end came up with a quick fix, and the QSR was back in business.

Then disaster struck. The entire drive-thru headset system went down. The single headset would have been able to limp along for another day or two, but the drive-thru headset system repair had to be dealt with ... and dealt with fast.

Drive-Thru Equipment Repair Advance Exchange

After another frantic call to CE Repairs, our QSR manager had a drive-thru repair solution to save the day. CE Repairs would send a new drive-thru headset system base station to the restaurant by 10 the next morning, and he would be back in business. All the manager had to do was pack up the broker base station in the same replacement drive-thru equipment box and send it to CE. For just $75 (plus the regular drive-thru repair cost), he would have working drive-thru equipment, while his drive-thru headset repair was being done. No downtime. No worries.

And what about that AIO drive-thru headset with the pesky boom issue? The manager sent that out the next morning, and had it back within 24 hours. Like I said, no worries. But then again, that's what happens when you work with CE for your drive-thru equipment repairs.

Drive-Thru Repairs - Where Speed is King

March 04, 2013 ·

We all know that speed is king in the drive-thru lane. The faster you serve customers, the more profitable your operation is - it's that simple. But what happens when a critical piece of drive-thru equipment malfunctions or breaks down altogether? You might have to limp along through the rest of the day ... taking far too long to fill orders. Or worse, you may be faced with shutting down the drive-thru lane altogether.

Whatever the case, the faster you can get your drive-thru repairs done, the better off your restaurant will be. With that in mind, does your drive-thru repair vendor offer same-day service? Will they complete your drive-thru headset repair or drive-thru timer repair within 24 hours, or the repair is free? CE Repairs will ... with some limitations and exclusions, of course. But the point is, you'll get your drive-thru equipment repair done ... and done fast. Because that's what you need.

Advance Exchange Program

Okay, so you know you'll get your drive-thru repair back fast. But what to do in the meantime? Even a day without a drive-thru lane can have a big impact on your profitability. That's why CE offers a drive-thru repair advance exchange program. Say your drive-thru equipment goes down at 3 in the afternoon. Just give us a call, and we'll ship replacement equipment to you overnight. No need to ship us your broken equipment in advance. Simply use the same replacement drive-thru equipment box to send us back your broken equipment for as little as $75, plus the regular repair cost.

Done Right The First Time

Speed counts when it comes to drive-thru repairs. But just as important as speed is knowing that your drive-thru equipment repair is done right the first time. Because really, it's no good getting your drive-thru headset repair or drive-thru timer repair back quickly, if it's just going to go down again in a couple of days. At CE, we've been in the drive-thru repair business for over 40 years. That means our drive-thru repair technicians have the skill and expertise to get it done right the first time ... and fast.

Drive-Thru Repair EMAs - Right for You?

February 25, 2013 ·

We've said it before and we'll say it again ... drive-thru repairs are a fact of life ... whether you're talking about drive-thru timer repairs, drive-thru headset repairs, or the myriad other issues that can come up with sensitive, electronic drive-thru equipment.

So what's a QSR operator to do? We already know that regular maintenance is a sure-fire way to manage the cost of drive-thru repairs. But if you're looking to better predict what your costs will be, and manage a budget, then a drive-thru repair equipment maintenance agreement (EMA) could be right for you.

Drive-Thru Repair Equipment Maintenance Agreement

A drive-thru repair EMA can help minimize the costly downtime associated with drive-thru repairs, while maximizing the lifespan of your equipment. Think about it ... if you know your drive-thru repair costs are already covered, wouldn't you be more likely to send in equipment with a minor issue, before it becomes a major and costly drive-thru repair? With an EMA, you're prolonging the life of your valuable drive-thru equipment, and operating with well-maintained equipment that delivers peak performance. And one low monthly price helps to simplify your restaurant's budget ... not to mention avoid large, unexpected drive-thru repair expenditures.

Covering Major Drive-Thru Equipment Manufacturers

CE offers monthly EMAs for all HME, Panasonic and 3M drive-thru products. So whether you're talking about a drive-thru speaker system, a drive-thru speaker post, or a headset repair (to name just a few), you'll enjoy the peace of mind of knowing you're covered.

4-month Drive-Thru Repair Warranty

How confident is CE about the quality of our drive-thru repairs? We cover every single drive-thru repair with a 4-month warranty. Some restrictions and conditions apply, of course. But does your drive-thru repair center offer such a good warranty?

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

And while we're talking about how confident we are in our drive-thru repairs, let's up the ante. At CE, if we can't fix your drive-thru equipment, you'll receive a $100 credit toward the purchase of a new unit, or $65 toward the purchase of a refurbished unit. That's why here at CE, we can say with confidence ... "we fix what others can't ... or won't.
