Millennials, also known as Generation Y, are reaching adulthood by the millions, creating a tremendous opportunity for drive-thrus to grow sales and profits by targeting this segment of the market.   • Offer healthy menu items. If they’re locally grown and sourced, so much the better.
  • Provide mobile ordering, payment and pickup options. Unlike previous generations, Millennials don’t have the patience to sit in drive-thru queues.
  • Reach out to them via social media. Be sure to highlight community activities your restaurant or chain engages in.
